Q2: How far in advance should I book my event?
A: For large events (weddings, corporate functions) or peak season dates (December holidays, spring), we highly recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance to secure your date and preferred equipment. For smaller events or catering orders, 4 to 8 weeks is usually sufficient.
Q3: How do I request a formal quote?
A: The fastest way is to fill out our detailed Request a Quote form on the Contact page. Please include your event date, estimated guest count, services you require (Events, Catering, Decor, Rentals), and the venue location. We aim to respond to all quote requests within 48 hours.
Q4: Do you require a deposit to confirm a booking?
A: Yes. A non-refundable retainer/deposit (typically 30% of the total estimated cost) is required along with a signed contract to officially reserve your date and services. The remaining balance is typically due 14 days prior to the event date.

Q5: Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
A: Absolutely. Our catering team is experienced in handling a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and specific allergies. This information must be provided to us no less than 3 weeks prior to the event date.
Q6: Do you provide on-site service staff?
A: Yes. Our full-service catering packages include professional chefs, servers, and bartenders, as needed. We ensure all staff are experienced and trained to provide exceptional service throughout your event.
Q7: Do I have to use your decor and rental equipment if I hire your catering service?
A: No, you do not. MIYAKAZI offers flexible service. You can hire us for catering only, or combine services for discounted packages. However, our internal team ensures seamless coordination when you bundle our Catering, Decor, and Rentals.

Q8: What is your standard rental period?
A: Our standard rental period is 24 hours. For weekends, rentals are typically picked up on Friday and returned on Monday, but are charged as a single day. Longer-term rentals are available at discounted rates—please inquire when you request your quote.
Q9: What happens if I damage the rented equipment?
A: The client is responsible for all equipment from the time of delivery/pickup until it is returned. We offer a mandatory, non-refundable Damage Waiver Fee on all rental contracts, which covers minor damages. If equipment is lost, severely damaged, or stolen, the client is responsible for the full replacement cost.
Q10: Do your rental prices include delivery, setup, and breakdown?
A: No, delivery, setup, and breakdown are separate services that must be quoted and added to your rental order. Delivery fees are calculated based on your event’s physical address (3566 GOLF COURSE, KWA-NOMZAMO LOCATION, HUMANSDORP, EASTERN CAPE, 6300) and the scale of the equipment being transported (e.g., Tents require complex logistics).
Q11: Do I need to clean the cutlery and catering equipment before returning them?
A: We require that all food residue be scraped and rinsed from cutlery, dishes, and catering equipment (like chafing dishes). We handle the final sanitation and professional washing. A cleaning fee will be assessed if items are returned with significant food waste.
